Musoma, Tanzania: Twin City to Calderdale, UK

Posted by adminmusoma on April 23, 2007

Musoma, Tanzania has been twinned with a city in the United Kingdom. Calderdale City Council inn Halifax, West Yorkshire has chosen Musoma, Tanzania as its twin city.

 Calderdale

What does twinning mean?
The Caldedale Council Website explains:

The twin links are permanent links. They consist of civic ties between Councils, which involves a rolling programme of inward and outward civic visits, but more significantly has led to some limited joint working between Calderdale services and their counterparts abroad……
….. most importantly, the twin links are links between ordinary people of those areas….

The Calderdale City Council Website also mentions some general information on Musoma. To read please click this link: Twin Towns: Musoma

Other towns/cities twinned with Calderdale, Halifax. West Yorkshire:

  • Aachen, Germany, twinned with Halifax
  • Bramsche, Germany, twinned with Todmorden
  • Lüdenscheid, Germany, twinned with Brighouse
