Safari to Musoma: July 2007. Sign up and let’s go!
Dear All
A Trip is being planned by Dr. M. Vasant in July 2007, to Musoma.
Please see attached and also Musoma website / blog, for further information.
It will be a good time to go as a group and you will see that there are a couple of good new Hotels (Hotel Matvilla and Hotel Afrilux), available at a reasonable cost.
You will be able to see the town as it is and also see the projects that Dr. Vasant has undertaken and driven forward and accomplished a lot in the past three years!
There is more to come. We should all thank Dr. Vasant for taking this initiative on our behalf and pursuing the goal relentlessly and selflessly, making many trips to Musoma using his own initiative and resources.
If any of you are interested, please do let us know on this email address or direct your enquiries to Dr. Vasant on his email. (You can get his email address from Musoma.com)
See attached which will give you some indication of the proposed dates and itinerary.

Dear Harshadbai and Vansantbhai,
Read with great interest your forthcoming Musoma projects.
I would consider to provide service in Musoma.
Can a trip be arranged later than early June 2007! This is because I would want to request Dhara and Viral to join as well. Dhara is completing her finals at Cambridge University this year and Viral has just taken his first M.B. in medicine at Oxford University. However they can only be free by late June/early July 2007.
I feel the ‘young musomanians’ should be encouraged to take active part in such worthy projects.

Please note there is no problem in anyone going at their convenience.
All I have planned is 3 days of charity work between 10-13th June.
People make their own arrangements and arrive at their convenience. It just so happens that I have also organized a conference for dentists in Nairobi on 8th and 9th June. If there are enough takers I will organize transport from Nairobi to Musoma – that is all. The rest is up to individuals. This is convenient for me and the group that have committed to come with me.
It would be very nice if other groups go later and follow up some more work. They do not all have to go together.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to organise each project based on the goals. On a project basis – regularly updated.
Based on the goals and tasks achieved, the volunteers groups can take up and continue where the previous group left off.
This would allow for the projects and the volunteer activity per project to be on a fairly regular basis, helping to achieve the goals at a faster pace.
