Hirjibhai and Kanchanbhabhi Taank cremated

Posted by adminmusoma on September 1, 2006

Kanchanbhabhi’s brothers, Ashok, Jagdish and Rajni Gadher arrived in Musoma in time. They were assisted by Pravinbhai Shah of Mwanza who escorted them from Mwanza to Musoma. It is also known that many more Musomians have done whatever they can, in any way they can to help during this extremely tragic turn of events in the Taank family.

Since Hirjibhai and Kanchanbhabhi had chosen Christianity as their religious faith, the bodies were first taken to the Roman Catholic Church for the last rites as per the Christian faith and then brought back to the Taank residence, for the last rites as per Hindu faith. From there, cremation as per Hindu faith was carried out at the Musoma Crematorium, Mara Bay, Lake Victoria. The ashes (asthi) were then dispersed in the Lake Victoria by Ashok, Jagdish and Rajni Gadher. These rites and cremation ceremony took place around 10am, Musoma Time, Sept 1, 2006.

Musoma Blog on behalf of all Musomians and also whoever knew the Taanks, offer prayers to the Almighty to bless the soul of our dear friends with eternal peace.
